Grotto Alpe di Brusino - Morcote

See the ferry down between the cities. hikes well marked and trails paved and not. the caffe at the summit is great.

A wonderful view of monte san giorgio not to miss. they can go up there to the foot or with a bike to enjoy the mountain roads and above all the pure air from above. also enjoy one of the most beautiful views of all time.

We have lunched in this grotto (at the cool, altitude 800 meters, you arrive with a cable car in a few minutes) very spartano, but that provided good food. It is so frightening that the toilet is only the cup for its own needs, there is no sink, nor a mirror; to wash your hands, you have to smell and use a fountain. If it comes to rain, the grotto does not have a room, a space where to welcome some guests.

During a nice walk on Mount San Giorgio, we decided to stop here. the place is very suggestive, with a beautiful view and a pleasant exterior that allows to eat in the shadow of secular chestnuts. good start!Good service. very slow and little inclined to show you nice and welcoming! Too bad. The kitchen is typical but not genuine: the sausage clearly coming from pre-packaged envelopes, the poorly seasoned salami (they had sweated and were rinseed) and the cheeses fired for facts (i.e. seasoned at the right point, as many Ticinos like) were actually too fresh and still flourishing. . . Salads came from pre-packed envelopes (viewed in person). . .We didn't venture on hot dishes but maybe it's better like this. In short, we were all benign but we would have preferred to be able to eat well as the grotto wording made us hope!

Once you arrive with the cable car above the Serpiano, with a walk in the middle of the forest of about 2.5 km, you arrive at this grotto. we have taken cheeses and typical meats. beautiful view.
