Bidrage med feedbackThe restaurant is run by a lovely young couple. The Indian meal we had tonight was one of the best we've ever had. The food is cooked fresh and the portions are generous.
Fantastic café and Tulsi Indian restaurant. The coffee is excellent and the menu is very good. If you enjoy Indian cuisine, this is the place to be. I used to eat Indian food 2 or 3 times a week in Britain and this restaurant is comparable to the ones there! They also have a gift shop where you can browse while you wait. The service is top-notch and the staff are always friendly and willing to assist.
This café seems to be a typical coffee cake spot during the day, transforming into an Indian restaurant at night. I haven't been during the day, but I have visited a couple of times in the evening, and I believe it is one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to. The flavors of the dishes remind me of Aangan in West Footscray, Melbourne, with delicious sauces, fresh spices, and generous portions. The staff was able to cater to our preferred level of spiciness. The family that runs the restaurant is very welcoming and makes you feel at home. They are relatively new to the country but are quickly adapting to meet Australian standards. The cleanliness of the restroom could be improved, and the decor could use some updating (it is filled with tacky handbags for sale). However, these things did not bother me too much as the food is the main attraction for me. The korma dish was one of the best I have ever had, with rich and complex flavors. The menu offers many unique dishes that I had never heard of before, even though I am not a huge fan of spicy food. I highly recommend giving Tulsi a try. This small, family-run restaurant is putting in a lot of effort to succeed and I believe it is definitely worth a visit.
On Saturday evening at 6 a.m., waited 50 minutes for our food, the 2 curries we were the worst thing we ever eaten tasteless and watery, the service was very friendly bud had no idea what he did, thank you for having a bottle shop next door, so we had at least a good bottle of wine, we will never go to this place again!
This is a combined cafe and Indian Restaurant, the Tulsi. The cafe is fine. Being a lover of Indian Food and having been to many restaurants in many different countries this was the worst curry, if you can call it that, that I have ever tasted. When we ordered we were asked if we wanted our food mild, medium or hot. My wife and I both asked for mild as we love the curry flavours without having to need an asbestos lined mouth. In any other restaurant when this question is asked it means less chilli will be added, here it means no spices!! My meal consisted of 7 poor quality pieces of chicken in the tomato base sauce. There were no spices. It tasted like tomato soup. It was horrible! We won't be eating at the restaurant again!
