Texas Roadhouse - MONUMENT

Generally great food but service has always stellar as well.

OMG... My family comes here pretty regularly and Bethany (I think she's a new hire) is THE BEST! She's amazing! So attentive, very engaging, and she just has THE most incredible personality and brings so much to the table. Such a joy and made my Dad's visit special and memorable just by being her genuine self.

2 Nov 23 my husband and I had dinner at this restaurant which is our favorite Texas Roadhouse in town. Cait our waitress was outstanding and was taking care of a huge table next to us. We were seated on the booth next to that big group. We had a coupon for potato skins and ordered strawberry lemonades. Our potato skins were full of bacon, melted cheese and came with a delicious ranch dressing. We could not eat them all even though they were so tasty we brought the rest home. Cait kept our drinks refilled and took our order. I got the 12 oz prime rib with rice and veggies and my husband had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and corn. My prime rib was the best I have had in the Springs, was thick, juicy and was cooked perfect. My husband also enjoyed his chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, corn and our meals were so big that we could not finish them. Cait brought us boxes to take our leftovers home. I cannot emphasize enough how lucky we were to have such an efficient and friendly waitress which is rare to find these days.

I did take out. We had missing food and the steak was terrible. I know Rib Eyes have a lot of fat. I am very familiar with the cut. They are our favorite cut and we order them all the time when we go to steak houses. This rib eye they gave us had more fat than meat. It was terrible actullay kind of sad since it meant someone went away hungry. I think it is because we did take out. They had to have known this steak was 88% fat and intentionally did not serve it in house. Had we been eating in the dining room it would have gone back. About twice a year we try this place and we are always disappointed. At least they are consistantly crappy. They are the only steak place in town which is how they survives and its on they highway so it pick up travlers.
