Tbsp - Montréal

The waiter Rodrigo was very rude and seemed uninterested in welcoming us to the restaurant. He lacked attentiveness throughout the night and seemed more focused on rushing us to pay. The Sharing menu we chose for our anniversary was overpriced at $90 per person after tax. While the presentation of the food was nice, the quality of the preparation left much to be desired. The gnocchi was mushy, the beef ragu was mostly fat, and the other dishes were unimpressive. The dessert was underwhelming, with a mediocre assortment of fruits, meringue, truffles, and a commercially-made cake. The only highlights were the Uber House and Beef Carpaccio Starter.

We went for MTLàTable. The oysters were so fresh with awesome sea buckthorn mignonette. The arancini, cheese stick and mushroom were very heavy, soaked in oil. The char and its sauce went very well together but the fish still had some of its fishy taste. The cannoli was quite standard. Overall very good food, and I enjoyed the whole experience. We were visitors for outside Quebec. This was the highlight of our trip. Great food, great service, great environment. A memorable and enjoyable evening. We will definitely be back.
