Bidrage med feedbackThis is a great restaurant for grabbing lunch and enjoying a few meals. I really enjoyed their soup and the wide variety of colorful food options available. They have a large selection of dishes to choose from.
I love the pictures of the plates on the wall. it really helps to choose which one. the inner looks like literally mixes, but eating and service are making for it. we tried a hot top-free dish, very tasty meat (may have been more) and sauce, loved the rice that was crispy at the side. a nudel soup with knödel tried, they looked like won tons, but they were more so much more economical, not bland at all. Finally we had 2 different plates of dimsum. the round garnel pigs were amazing, good size. the others, some boars that I think were somewhat disappointing, on the picture they saw huge and the ones that we got were quite small. I know they said mini but still. the service was very fast and polite.
Yummy. As a Chinese and grown near San Francisco Chinatown, you know how good noodles should taste. The Yelp reviews were accurate and so was our Air bnb Tour Guide, Victor. Sai Gwan is the place for thin egg noodles to go and won ton....All ordered was delicious. My friend thought her noodles were a little overcooked, but I thought mine was okay. We had both low mine, milk tea and shared a sequence of fried dumplings. Left with full bells and a smile. Pig feet were perfectly cooked!! Recommended.
Dinner at the Sai Gwan Restaurant in Montreals Chinatown: homemade noodles with braided pork scots hot top frees with ribs and black bean sauce. The restaurant is very old and small, but the food is AMAZING. Noodles were homemade and you could even taste the freshness. The pigtrotters (not judge before they try, they are really good! were so tender, the meat fell directly from the bone. Many thick, gel-like skin and tendons! The hot top frees were made to order, so it took a while to come, but it was definitely worth waiting. So tasteful! I'll definitely go back to this great restaurant.
In the more heavily trafficked part of the street, you see restaurants with dazzling mochi cakes, people hand pulling noodles and all kinds of eye candy, but come on down to this part it's more than worth it. These people make truly excellent egg...noodles, and I especially recommend the egg noodles in lo mein, which is especially good with wontons. I don't eat pork, so no wontons for me, and I enjoyed it very much. But my husband said to be sure to get the wontons if you do eat pork. Sai Gwan is quite inexpensive a great deal.
