Bidrage med feedbackMy wife and I dined at this restaurant about a month ago and were surprised to see new staff and learn that it had changed ownership. The new owners had decided to no longer serve alcohol, but directed us to a nearby store to purchase a beer to accompany our meal. The menu had changed slightly, but the food was more or less the same as we remembered, albeit a bit spicier than we had requested. Overall, we were not dissatisfied with our meal. However, our recent visit was a completely different experience. The layout of the restaurant had changed and it felt empty and less intimate. When we arrived at 7pm, the place was empty and our friend had trouble finding our reservation. The service was slow, the food was cold, and it seemed like Maison Indien had lost its charm. It will need to make serious efforts to regain its reputation as one of the best Indian restaurants in Montreal.
Great, friendly service! very happy with the help we get in the selection what to order. kid kind too.
My wife and I dined at this restaurant about a month ago and were surprised to see all new waiting staff. We learned that the restaurant had changed hands since our last visit when we dined with the previous owners a few months prior. The new owners had decided to forgo their alcohol license for unknown reasons, requiring us to go down the street to purchase a beer to enjoy with our meal. The menu remained the same, and the food was mostly as we remembered, although it was spicier than we had anticipated. Despite this, we were not dissatisfied with our meal. However, our most recent visit was a completely different experience. The physical layout of the restaurant had changed significantly, losing its previous warmth and intimacy. When we arrived at 7:00, the restaurant was empty. Furthermore, our friend, who arrived earlier, was told there was no reservation under my name, despite it being confirmed on Open Table. This led to her being sent out into the cold to find the correct restaurant. She returned half an hour later, cold and angry. The remainder of our experience was disappointing - the waitress struggled to open a wine bottle, the service was extremely slow, and the food was served cold. We believe Maison India has greatly tarnished its reputation and needs to make serious efforts to reclaim its title as one of the best Indian restaurants in Montreal.
The service at this restaurant is excellent! We were really pleased with the assistance we received in selecting our meals. It's also a great place for families with kids.
Went there for their Sunday Brunch Buffet and I was not disappointed The price was $15.95 for all you can eat.
