Bidrage med feedbackWe have eaten here three times two years because we have enjoyed eating and fredrick so much. believe it or not he remembered us when we stopped last week! after reading the new reviews, we decided to attend lunch and make Sunday brunch. oh, young, the Rave reviews about brunch were on place! many thanks to fredrick for another unforgettable montreal experience.
I visited this restaurant a few weeks ago, it offers beautiful and authentic South France (provence) cooking. the restaurant is very small with just a few tables, service was efficient and friendly. at our lunchtime visit there were only 2 employees. the host/witter has spent a lot of time brushing a black cat jumping up and down from the money counter. he told us that he did not possess the cat, but the animal clearly knew his way in the restaurant and stayed back, I did not feel that this was hygienic, I will not return from this ground.
It is a very small and cozy bistro with 2 people running it (one forward and one in the kitchen). I used to work close and went there at least once in the week to midday when they special prices (10-15 for dinner, the...main dishes are around $25, which for montreal especially for this type of restaurant is appropriate. in contrast to many French restaurants that are overpriced and overhyped, this jewel is delicious. the menu that changes with the seasons offers simply enough to guarantee everything is fresh. another reason is the wine list! the wee will be the perfect complement to their eating. Last but not least, the owner will let them travel to France only by making the plat du jour
We were able to dine here three times before leaving tomorrow. Frederic, the owner and sole server, makes you feel like part of the family. Two of us had lunch here before four more friends from Washington arrived the next day. We were so impressed that we returned in the evening after a few days. The duck tagliatelle is a must-try dish. The steak was outstanding and the desserts were some of the best we had in our eight days of eating. However, Frederic's expertise in wine pairings truly set this place apart. Thank you, Frederic! We were touched when, a few days later, as they drove away, they rolled down their window and shouted "hello Washington!" showing genuine care for their customers.
This restaurant is a small, simply decorated authentic French bistro with only 10 tables. We enjoyed a delicious pasta dish with duck and yellow mushrooms, as well as a tasty small steak accompanied by hand-cut local vegetables and yellow mushrooms. The food was excellent. The owner serves as the sole waiter for the five tables (during our visit) and was quite busy. It's important to note that he tends to prioritize conversation with his regular customers over English-speaking tourists.
