Le Darlington Steakhouse - Montréal

The steak was good, although very expensive. DON'T order the carrot cake. It comes in a little dessert glass, cream cheese icing layered with cookie crumbs with raw carrot ribbons on top. They were supposedly candied, but I tasted them and they were just...raw carrots. I asked and yes, indeed that was carrot cake. $12. My husband's cheese cake looked really good for the same price.

Attached to the Courtyard Hotel which was a real bonus. Service was great, food was very flavourful and portions were good. Nice decor, clean, modern, friendly staff, good menu selection, great wine and beer selection. Overall highly recommended and I will certainly be back.

Conveniently located in Courtyard by Marriott hotel. Our meal was of high quality but the fries were overcooked. The prices are too high.

My friend and I were tired from traveling and decided to eat here rather than exploring around Old Montreal. The manager helped us make the decision to eat here he was wonderful and offered us a choice of 3 white wines to taste. I was surprised that I selected a Spanish wine. I had the penne with tomato cheese sauce and vegetables. My friend had the soup du jour broccoli and a chicken salad sandwich. Not fancy but the food was just fine for our needs and the service was excellent.

Service was incredibly slow and inattentive. Food was mixed my pizza was OK but partners burger was terrible. Ordered it without cheese and onion with mayo on side but it came with all of it incl. mayo lathered on both sides of bun! Sent it back waited 20 minutes, flagged down spvr who checked and said it would be right out. Waited 10 more minutes and flagged spvr again who went to kitchen and brought out new burger with mayo once again on the bun and lots of it. Told spvr we didn't want it, wouldn't pay for it, asked for bill and left with one of us very hungry!! Not acceptable they need strong watchful management to right the ship!
