Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant is fantastic! The food and atmosphere are amazing. The decor has a unique industrial feel. I had the most wonderful birthday celebration here. The menu is small but delicious. If you love tacos and tartare, this is the perfect spot for you to enjoy.
Did you know that @grumman78 does all-you-can-eat #TacoTuesdays!? With selections like fish tacos (my fave, always! , banh mi-style pulled pork tacos, grilled beef with mango, and the vegetarian gobi halloumi tacos, you'll need to taste all this deliciousness to believe it.
It’s not easy to find really good Mexican food in Montreal, but you can at this funky and fun place with an eclectic menu and extensive dessert options. something about food truck beginnings? We had wonderful Fish Tacos and Vegetarian “Pimentan” Tacos, and you absolutely need to try their Papas made with Sweet Potatoes, Cheese and Garlic Aioli. There were about a dozen desserts to choose from, and we loved their Chocolate Chipotle Tart.
Tacos are creative, delicious, but pricey. The tacos are really creative (compared to the normal taco). Had a curry goat taco, a banh mi taco, and a veggie feta taco. Definitely liked the curry goat one the best (and I'm guessing they change it up all the time). Washed it down with tasty hibiscus juice. Only gripe I have with the food truck are that the tacos are relatively pricey (we are talking $5 7.50 per taco, where I thought I would be getting 2 or 3 for that price).<br/ <br/ Awesome that food trucks are all over Montreal again though!
Before diving into the food, I have to give a shoutout to the staff for their exceptional knowledge of the menu. They not only know the ingredients and cooking methods of each dish, but they have also tasted everything on the menu. This attention to detail is commendable and sets this restaurant apart. Now, onto the food. The fish tacos were simply scrumptious, with amazing flavors, textures, and aromas. The fried chicken, cooked in a southern style, was also delicious. However, I found that the sauce on the chicken was a bit overpowering and took away from the crispy texture of the chicken. I suggested to the chef that the sauce be served on the side to allow diners to enjoy the chicken in its pure form. Overall, the service was great, although it can get a bit noisy. Reservations are recommended. The prices are on the higher end, but you definitely get what you pay for with fresh, well-made dishes. And don't forget to save room for their homemade desserts, which are all excellent. In conclusion, "The Food Critic" recommends trying this restaurant and suggests asking for the sauce on the side when ordering the fried chicken.
