Foyer - Montréal

The pizza and appetizers we ordered were very good. However, the service is pretty slow. While we were there, someone who had ordered take out had to walk out because it was taking way too long to get his pizza.

Located a short walk from Marche' Atwater which itself is along the Canal bike path. Restaurant is a neighborhood spot, shotgun style with a small back courtyard where we ate. My wife said her kale salad was splendid, my son's fries (he is 13) were fresh cut and my pizza most satisfying. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive and engaging.

My boyfriend and I recently relocated to the area and have visited this restaurant multiple times. The pizzas are absolutely delicious (my favorite in the city). The salads are also fantastic. The staff is friendly and efficient. I adore the restaurant's decor. The outdoor terrace in the back is wonderful! It's a fantastic spot to visit with friends, family, or for a date.

We walked in thinking the place was called Pizza Neapoliana because of the sign on the outside, but later learned it was actually Le Foyer. No worry. The pizzas were great. I had a mild italian sausage and j. had a margherita with added black olives. The crusts were truly wonderful - fresh homemade breadlike - quite unlike other montreal pizza crusts - either thick and heavy or thin and crusty. We'd started with an excellent cesar salad fresh and crispy with anchovies (or without - your choice). Service was friendly and professional. Wine by the glass was excellently suggested. I had a Moretti instead. Environment is a long designer narrow room, brick walled and wood with kitchen & oven on one side. Nice small terrace in back, and some tables on sidewalk as well. All in all, haven't had this kind of pizza this good in such a hip and relaxed place since Chicago. Highly recommend - beats all other pizzas in neighbourhood.
