Bidrage med feedbackI discovered this charming bakery online, which uses organic wheat from their own farm to make their delicious goods. It has a very humble and quaint atmosphere.
I visited this delightful bakery and found the staff to be extremely friendly. I wanted to address a previous review regarding the claim that they make their own flour.
I stayed in the neighborhood for three days and visited this bakery at least 5 times. I would give it 4.5 stars.
On a recent (off season) visit to the Ile d'Orleans we discovered that only 2 restaurants were open on the island at this time. The Tourist Info office at the bridge entrance to the Ile mentioned Chez Bacchus and we were very happy we went there. It features a limited menu (no a la carte items) with excellent quality fresh food; we enjoyed a very tasty carrot ginger soup and an excellent entrecote and a salmon perfectly char broiled. Each plate came with a huge portion of fresh salad and veggies and the best 'frites' I have had in a long time, thin and not soggy. House wine is available by the glass. The menu details and prices are listed on the blackboard and are between CAD12 and 16 plus tax&tip, which is an excellent value for the very well prepared food received.
