Bidrage med feedbackWe visited Le Roman Des Saveurs with friends. The restaurant overlooking the river is stunning in this very beautiful city. We had the set menu and it was fantastic. All dishes were well cooked, delicious and well presented! Would highly recommend and I am... sure that we return. Also good value at 19.50 € for 3 courses.
We have been coming here on and off for the last 17 years or so and never cease to be amazed by the quality of the food, service and the value. We visited last night with friends to celebrate a special anniversary and plumped for...the chefs surprise 6 course tasting menu. What can I say? Absolutely blown away, the food was traditional french but with a modern twist. Enjoyed every mouthful and it remains an excellent value for money establishment. Don’t retire!!
Tasty food cooked to a very high standard. Service was very efficient and excellent location in town. We had duck and lamb and both were very well cooked. Would most definitely go back.
My wife and I attended on a Wednesday at beginning of October 2019 and as expected there were only a few other customers, so you could say there wasn't much atmosphere. But does that matter with such a good view over the river and the...old bridge? If you wanted to chat to the chef/owner then it was clear he was up for it. And I thought the value for money was good. 23euro for a 4 course meal, over which there could be no complaints. With a nice cup of coffee at the end it was just a satisfying experience. We'll probably be there next year.
Second time we have been here within the month and again it did not disappoint. There were six of us and despite not making a reservation they found two tables for us and pushed them together. Service was friendly and efficient and the food was...delicious. The dorade royale was perfectly cooked and flaked apart, the three portions of lamb were equally well cooked with very little fat and the two venisons were pink and perfect. The small courgette 'souffle ' was also a perfect seasonal vegetable portion. The desserts also did not disappoint, although the creme brûlée was a bit 'eggy ' rather than creamy. A great lunch and no doubt we shall be back again!
