Bidrage med feedbackOn Italy's national holiday we decided to eat here. Being near the sea we were not surprised that the fixed menu offered fish. Staff was extremely disorganized and slow. But hey.... If the food is good who cares. After 45 minutes the antipasti of fish arrived. The calamari were bland and even worse contained sand... The scallop was covered in breadcrumbs and again soooo bland. The 3 mussels on the plate were ok! After another 45 minutes wait we were ready to leave. But miraculously our grilled fish arrived and we decided to give it a go. A mix of tuna, 1/4 lobster, and white fish. I am still not sure if these were from the freezer or simply really badly prepared. We got up and left with a really fishy taste in our mouth. For us it was a first: eating badly in Italy.
We ate here twice as it is attached to the hotel Eden where we were staying. The hotel doesn't push you to eat here but it is obviously available. Now I would say that cumulatively I have spent a year of my life in Italy so I like to think I understand the way things work on top of this my wife is half Italian... Hear for some reason we had a waitress who was abrupt, questioning our orders, more dropping plates on the table than serving an example (ignoring the fact she insisted in speaking English to us when we ordered she told us it would be better if we all ordered the same thing as it was easier for the kitchen and then when we persisted she reiterated this with more aggression sorry why even have a menu? You might ask why did we return well we gave the benefit of doubt to them, but for our third lunch we ate elsewhere! The food was good the other members of staff polite (but unfortunately not looking after our table! . Perhaps her maori tattoo meant she was more rugby player than ballerina! Sorry but I would have sacked her! Without this waitress it would score 4 not 2
We loved the food, portions were very big so we could share, they have outdoor seating but many flies at this time so we sat inside
