Pirates Of Ponderosa - Montezuma

The owners here are always really amazing hosts. When my 4 year old and I would go here for our Friday lunch salad bars we would feel like we were being taken care of by family. The food was always plentiful and delicious, and the service was great.Fridays are not the only great days to go there. When the weather is nice the playground and sand volley ball court outside allow my wife and I to enjoy our meals with eachother while the kiddos play and get dirty! Even the superbowl party was a blast, especially considering how busy it was, service did not suffer at all. Food was served potluck style which honestly speaks to the very nature of this establishment... family and community oriented.I love and support this establishment, I am so happy it's just up the road for us folks in Monte. If you haven't had the chance to check it out make sure you stop in ASAP. You won't regret it!

Got screamed at for giving real id’s. Waitress was incredibly rude. Would not go again

Horrible experience. If you would like to be screamed at in the face then maybe it's the place for you. Owners were not nice or respectful.

Party of 10, 7:00pm Friday of holiday weekend. It was very busy, we knew it was going to be awhile. Quick walk through the brightly lit bar area, where we seated ourselves on the beautiful patio, overlooking the lake and catch a cool breeze on a hot day was so nice! Cocktails, beers, soda, everything was topped off timely. Appetizers were quick to come out, cheese curds, yum. Fried pickles, not good. Fried portobello mushrooms, to die for. It was an hour after we ordered before we got our meals. Our server was very good at checking in on us and letting us know the kitchen was backed up. We were fine, drinks were flowing. I had the chicken wrap and it was delicious! Our server was super swamped, but she stayed in good spirits while shuffling through not only our crazy group, but others around us as well.

Terrible service even worse food! sat down waited 15 minutes for waitress, took drink order then waited 30 minutes for drinks to come. alcohol came first and kids waited 15 minutes past that. Waited an hour in total to get our food ordered and when it came out 30 minutes later it was laughable. Ordered 2 Philly cheesesteaks and a rueben. Cheesesteaks had ZERO cheese on it and the beef was burn on both and the Reuben had THREE slices of corned beef NO sauerkraut, small dab of thousand island, and on white bread (menu says marbled rye). This is more of a bar than a restaurant maybe...(Corona skunked). Will not go back for food.
