El Jardin - Monteverde

We loved el jardin, having not found anywhere fully vegan in Monte verde it was a nice surprise to go to a fairly fancy restaurant and be presented with a separate vegan menu. Good options and really delicious food. It’s a lovely setting too they had live music when we were there. Would recommend

The service at this restaurant is outstanding. During our stay at the resort, we dined here multiple times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They offer a plant-based menu upon request, with delicious options. I ordered a vegan breakfast without eggs or cheese, while my husband enjoyed the vegan pancakes. Soy milk was available for coffee upon request. The lunch and dinner options were also excellent, with plenty of vegan choices. Even with my gluten-free and sesame allergy dietary restrictions, I was able to find satisfying meals by communicating with our server. Overall, we had a great dining experience with excellent service and delicious food.

It is rare to find a restaurant in Costa Rica that offers a completely separate vegan/vegetarian menu.

El Jardin was very accommodating to our vegetarian dietary restrictions, offering a fully vegetarian menu with several vegan choices. The red curry was delicious, incorporating avocado in a unique way, and the pumpkin agnolotti was incredibly flavorful. To top off our meal, we tried the tres leches cake which was outstanding, drizzled with a passion fruit reduction.
