The lunch began at 13.30 and ended at about 17 and in the meantime there were many starters (but so many) one more delicious than the other.. Two first fabulous, grilled meat at will and finish fruit, sorbet and coffee. The drinks were included in the price of the fixed menu.. We basically had lunch like there was no tomorrow.. We stayed at lunch in this farm, really little cared externally. We waited for lunch to fill the room, with bottles of water and wine without cap, sliced (disputable mozzarella(three mini for a total of three people and immersed in their water and three slices of ricotta, on the table in advance, all without being covered as you require hygienicly. We could only drink orange juice (which has something to do with traditional Lucana cuisine. The tripe with potatoes made a bad smell. Miserable appetizers, poorly cooked and poor quality, not described but sketched in voice. The two first both with sausage and mushrooms (where would be the variety? I ask a first with only tomato and left in the dish because it is inevitable. Roasted meat not to be commented, with a kidney served (of family we have two butchers, so a little we understand! Dessert with raw egg white (disgusting . Savoury taste for what they offered us. The top was the manager who thought he was ironic, not asking why we didn't eat almost anything, but proposing to offer me a moment because probably for him I wasn't well, with a smile printed on the comic face that doesn't laugh. He could have asked why we hadn't eaten almost anything.5 hours to be fast. Zero professionalism. Stained glasses and rather promiscuous baths. Never been in such a bad farm. We ran away after paying and nobody asked us anything. Food is not for everyone.
We were Sunday 5 February recommended by a local friend, we arrived with our Camper a bit early and we were greeted by Mr. Roberto who invites us to sit inside the fireplace to warm us seen the cold day, regarding the lunch all delicious and plentiful, and that to find the taste of the true homemade cuisine is not everyday, we will return with friends to taste again your delicacies.
More than ****, for my family they were cold dishes with too salty flavors some and some cakes of pietous salt, I left everything I didn't even want to taste them because managed by kids who emit intestinal gas (I imagine well what I mean by noise) and they laugh in your face while they beat you dishes as if we were animals. I had already been 6-7 years back completely changed everything I would have put 5 stars I believed.
Experienced travellers wanted to try this farm located in Montescaglioso, a few kilometers from Matera. The place is really nice full of green and very relaxing. House environment, very accurate, clean. Owner and staff (Pietro) very attentive and available. Sunday fixed menu at 35 Euro per head. It starts with appetizers that are countless, abundant, varied and that collect the typical Apulian/Lucan cuisine. Everything at zero kilometer. After the appetizers you could already leave even if, to say the truth while tasting them all, you do not get hung up. Continue with two first ones (the one with fresh pasta mushrooms and sausage), meat, fruit, dessert, coffee and liqueurs. Water, wine, drinks included in the price. What else to say. Waiting time between the courses absolutely contained. I think I'm coming back to enjoy another seasonal menu. Very recommended. I know you can stay overnight. Top of the ranking for quality/price matching not only in this area.
