LE PLAN B - Montereau-Fault-Yonne

Great little beer bar. Has an upscale feel and a good selection of beers. Menu looks good but did not have time to sample.

Frais, nature, gouteux, rapport qualité-prix impeccable, accueil agréable, décor simple et de bon goût, espace bien pensé entre les tables et les chaises, propreté très bien.

Reçu avec le sourire à 14h20. Carte complète et variée. Nous avons pris tartare de poisson et fich and chips, très bon et frais. Prix corrects. Détour de 20 mn de l autoroute.

I had time to kill in Montereau - which is a pleasant enough town for this activity - and ate lunch at Le Plan B. I was warmly welcomed despite arriving towards the end of the lunchtime service; and chose Fish & Chips (Le fameux) - or as the waitress (and owner?) called it "Fish & Chips French style". The only real differences from English style were that the fish was cut into smaller pieces and the accompanying sauce tartare was very good, and probably home-made. A strawberry cheesecake dessert was more like a mousse, but the biscuit base was too hard. A small pichet of acceptable wine; some nice bread; and coffee completed a thoroughly satisfactory meal
