La Grotta Rossa Pizzeria Pub

We arrived early which was good. By the time we left...the place was filled with locals! That's always a good sign! The beer and pizza were very good and we had excellent service. Would highly recommend for a quick and inexpensive meal!

After a long day, we did not want to cook anything, but just eat some delicious food and crash out. We decided to visit the Grotta Rossa, ten minutes out of Montefalco in a local hamlet, Turrita, also home to one of Umbrias famous wine producers, Tabarrini of Sagrantino fame. Supper was direct, quick and delicious. We had a welcome glass of prosecco followed by beautifully crisp pizzas: local ham and mushroom and a margarita with local spicy sausages. With water and beer this hit the spot and the plates were cleaned in near record time. A modest bill for excellent food and prompt friendly service. A success again thank you very much. There were about 30 takeaway pizzas collected while we were there, so the word is firmly out locally as well!
