Il Cavallino - MONTE ARGENTARIO

We tried to locate a restaurant in the near harbor, in the centre of Porto San Stefano and found this modest and economical restaurant. Naturally we ate seafood and the food is good and the prices economical. 1 Antipasto for 2 , 1 primi, 1 secondo and 1 desert which was owner's made cake and good and of course local wine. The price was 43€, not much for two persons!. Some may say the owner is not very friendly but when we started to discuss (italiano) with her, she was totally different, very friendly.

Very good traditional Italian restaurant... very tasty and good pizzas ! Not expensive at all... Very fast served !

This is a pretty basic, good value traditional pizza restaurant. Also does pasta but pizza seems to be the main attraction. Very good value. Just don't go expecting a gourmet experience because it's not that sort of place. When we went everyone was Italian apart from us which I took to be a good sign. It's meters from the seafront tourist places so it's a good alternative to the pricier tourist places.

Simple and clean premises, prices are low. We ate pizzas. My vote is 3 stars

We stayed in this restaurant for two nights in a row and I have to say that we had a great time the first evening we tasted the excellent cuisine the sparkling eels and the mussels to the tomato (from shoe) very good also the first we chose gnocchi to the scampi and risotto to the fisherman (plentiful portions) the next night we opted for pizza and I have to say very good also it well seasoned and well cooked. We'll be back.
