The At Allegory - Montclair

Ambiance, the service of clemence was excellent. eating was amazing. we will return soon.

We have dined in the allegory on nye with their prix fixe menu. eating was delicious and very plentiful. our only complaint was the service. we waited to get our drinks for approx. 15 minutes to get. (wine and a beer.) the waiting staff seemed a little confused. for $100 per head (plus drinks,) we expected great service. for the happiness that was eating was wonderful and the atmosphere was festive.

Eating is now much better and well presented. the new cook tries to breathe the life into the restaurant and it is. allegory was quiet the night that we were there due to celebrations, but was delightful in this sense. Although not old the device could use some updates, but it is a firm going to dinner and the drinks are good to

Waitress was good but just had too many tables. Bus boy stepped up and hostess was friendly. 2/3 of dishes were good; no bread at table strange for an italian restaurant. When we made requests to one member of waitstaff saying “excuse me sir” he would answer with “what’s up” each time. Okay for a dive bar, but not for a nice restaurant taking to people who are between 30 and 60 years older than you. Very slow service Mr. What’s Up will probably lead us to not return.

Great for brunch. The service was great and the food was tasty. We dined with our three year old son.
