Montanera - Montanchez

Great lunch and good service. Very traditional food which we liked. no pretension. Local white wine was like a type of sherry but, after the initial shock, was actually really good. Nice atmosphere. Not sure how another reviewer to this place to be tiny...

Went for lunch and the pleasant walled gardens were not open (they are in the evening), so we were seated in the cellar. The menu was rather limited and the portions, when they arrived (service was not quick) were tiny, unlike the prices. I did enjoy what I locate. In the evening, there is a fixed price offering for around 35 euros which seems better value, though we were not temped to return.

Montanchez is a lovely mountain village and although the restaurant is in a great location with a view of the castle it was very quiet when we arrived and because we speak no Spanish we really weren't sure what we were letting ourselves in for. We were really happy with our salad starter, generous potion and the steak was excellent. Definitely recommended

El trato muy bueno del personal. muy atento en todo (ya que llamo para reservar a la atención en la terraza . la esquina donde se encuentra es muy tranquilo y también buena comida. Esperamos volver:

Muy agradecido por la buena atención. Pedimos el menú de Chuleton, para 2 personas, carne muy buena, bien macerada y bien hecha (hasta el punto) pone a elegir el postre, el rico pastel de manzana. para nuestra gota preferimos otra variedad de lechuga en la ensalada (tipo de cogollo más sabroso) el otro perfecto. repetiremos.
