The quality is much better than In-N-Out, and I would even venture to say it's the best burger I've ever tasted.

We absolutely love Smashburger! The food is delicious—fresh and flavorful, just like meals used to taste when I was growing up in the 1950s and 1960s. It's hard to find that kind of quality nowadays. The service is excellent as well! It's probably for the best that we don't live nearby, or we'd be dining there much more often!

I ordered the "big" size of the SoCal burger, and it was absolutely delicious—cooked to perfection. It was a bit greasy, but that's because it was made with an 80% lean and 20% fat blend of beef.
