Bidrage med feedbackOne of those reviews you don’t want to write because you’re not sure you want to share this gem of a plaice. With an all day breakfast and a creative Japanese take on the menu, this place feels calm and quiet even when it’s bustling. Sophisticated vibe but very welcoming. Just a great choice and will be back.
My son recommended we tried their breakfast menu. Enjoyed breakfast. You won’t leave feeling hungry because they were quite generous with the servings. Friendly staff and a great spot if you’re wanting to grab something before catching the train. You’re 1min away from the Burwood station if you want to grab a coffee to enjoy on the way to work.
Stumbled along this place online as I was searching for a dog friendly cafe around the area. High Tripadvisor ratings as well as the decadent pictures on their website made me curious and decided to go on a nice sunny Sunday afternoon. The cafe was pretty full so service was a little slow, admittedly. However, the servers were polite and friendly after I tried to get their attention for orders for about 10 minutes or so. Recommend the Baba Bao and the Blue Mountain Wagyu Burger. Will come back to try more dishes!
I love this place. The menu is interesting and everything I’ve tasted which is quite a lot of the items! has been done really beautifully. It’s a nice place to take visitors and has impressed everyone I’ve taken. The Hong Kong waffles are a standout I also love the potato croquettes for brekky and the burger for lunch is delicious.
We had tried Baba Sus one Sunday and it was full so we thought we’d try another day. A Wednesday morning around 1000 and there was only one other table occupied, possibly not unexpected as it is off the beaten track,so to speak. We were having brunch and the menu a little limited but very interesting and what I would call modern. My wife ordered potato croquettes with salmon while I ordered a Japanese cabbage and corn fritter. The first third of mine was really interesting and damned good. However,by the end I had had enough deciding it was not something I would order again. I tasted my wife’s croquettes and thought they were overly cheesy, which wasn’t my expectation. I also thought the cafe a little cold, perhaps caused by the lack of patrons; the staff were nice; and, oddly I thought, you could not get a ceramic mug, only a takeaway one. I am happy to have tried this well rated cafe but don’t see myself going back there.
