Bidrage med feedbackNormally a lovely pit stop on a sunny day on the El Río run back down. Good music, cold champagne. Stopped as a family of 6, asked for a plain burger with nothing on it for the kids, came with lettuce and it was not plain, but a bacon and cheese burger. If it wasn't available plain, maybe they could have said? Asked for nachos without the chilli, as it's on the menu as nachos con chilli y queso...came with the chilli on it still. Tried to order another that didn't have meat on it, but they were now out of nachos, so they couldn't do it again. No empanadas, no gyozas, not a lot for the veggie. When I explained, we had a helpful shrug. Patatas bravas it was then. Between 6. Could there have been confusion originally what was meant by the plain burger with nothing with it, or what did we mean nachos without the chili? Perhaps the mistakes could have been avoided. However, given the bite taken from the burger, the whole bowl of nachos untouched on the table, the young lady might have considered taking something off the bill, apologising, offering an alternative...anything really. But a shrug it was. Was a real shame, the service is usually great.
The place is really nice, great view, nice music. Nobody came to us to take the order, i need to go by myself inside to ask for the menu and then the bill at the end. 10 euros for glass of veuve clicquot champagne is ok but they don’t put a lot ... then we try to different burger, the jack daniel and the mint, the bread was dry; and inside the burger there is nothing no salad, tomato, onions ... only meat ... and they give you 6 potatoes. 10 euros for the burger but still i didn t eat at all ... disapointed for this kind of place
Nevada terrace is located towards the bottom of one of the runs into town, its in a nice spot as its quite a sun trap. We’d had a good day skiing and opted to stop in at the end of the day and have a few drinks. The place was quite busy and there were only two members of staff which was far too few, particularly as you have to get table service. We got half our order pretty quickly but that was all we got, despite repeated requests as to what had happened to the rest of our order, all we got was a smile and an acknowledgement that it was on its way. Sadly our patience wore out before our order turned up, 45 minutes with no drinks was beyond the pale, so we left. I really don’t understand the lack of staff, it was sunny and busy, but if you have more staff, then you sell more drinks food and make more money, we’d have likely spent €400 on drinks and instead we spent about €30. I’m sure the bar makes money, but frankly it’s ludicrous to have that woeful level of staffing on such a nice day on a busy weekend. Such a shame.
Mandatory stop while the river goes down if you want a beer or a good champagne in the snowy mountain sun, with good music and good atmosphere! this is the perfect place.
A place with a special charm! Very nice deal!
