Bidrage med feedbackOrdered 3 coffees and a milkshake. half an hour later the coffees arrived. 15 minutes later and still waiting for the shake i gave up and left as the coffees were getting cold. cast of thousands doing absolutely nothing. several others also frustrated just waiting for their coffees. there is a sign which says 'Help wanted ' they certainly need someone. came back in a few hours and there were at leapt7 shakes untouched on the table obviously left by frustrated patrons.
Very disappointing experience this morning! Started badly with them not accepting our dine and discover vouchers because Andrew wasn’t there. The big breakfast and the Spanish omelette were excellent after we sorted out the no butter or salt and pepper on plate! Pity I can’t say same about Acai bowl which was the frozen packet with fruit on top not the normal smoothie bowl consistency a normal açai bowl comes as. To add the coffee with sugars weren’t stirred it was at the bottom of the cup. Pity I can’t be there when Andrew is there every time as never had a issue like today when Andrew has been there.
Previously we have enjoyed taking our dog to the dog beach and finishing the outing with lunch. Albeit very expensive for what it was, the dog friendly environment was worth the price premium. When you have to pay for parking for the privilege to attend this establishment in 10 minute increments, I don't think they fully understand that customers are not impatient, just ripped off. while waiting Vow never to return after many years and many lunches so much better than our horrible experience today.. Fail big time and they need opposition to take up the huge market available to anyone willing to once the demand properly.
Excellent location let down by wait time for food to be served. Uneaten food left on tables takes forever to be cleared away giving the birdlife a hearty feast. Smallest milkshakes we have ever seen . Disappointing and a spoilt opportunity for something better.
Food was fairly standard cafe fare, well presented with lege servings. I had a chicken schnitzel burger which came with chipotle mayonnaise and a very large serve of shoe string chips. The burger was good. The chips got cold quickly, partly because there so many. I also had coffee (a cafe latte) which was well made, but still just what I would expect from a competent cafe. r Flying Fox has outdoor and semi outdoor seating only. By semi outdoor, I mean it's under a roof but the only walls are screens that can be opened or closed according to the weather. This means that birds mostly magpies and Indian mynahs are always on the lookout for food scraps. The setting is idyllic, right on the edge of Winnererremy Bay, Pittwater. On a sparkling sunny day such as today, the water was a brilliant blue. The adjoining Winnererremy Park was very green. It's a large open space, great for walking, cycling and just generally unwinding. Right beside the restaurant is a brilliant children's playground called Flying Fox Park.
