Not much else around food-wise in Molleges but what a find! Stylish, well priced, great staff. Fully booked in the main all fresco dining area, but we were needy/begged and were finally accommodated on the private terrace (wonderfully cocky sheltered spot in the pavement to the side) to our relief. Ordered the set menu for simplicity without fully appreciating what it entailed. We understood the garlic mayo bit. But the main element was actually snails! We decided we were eating French ploughmans - good, solid labourer fare. The desserts were amazing: a kind of fruit crumble, and chocolate fondant. Both delicious. Very pleased to have passed by here. Bravo.
Beautiful outside seating area across the street from the restaurant, extremely friendly and supportive service, great quality of food. Although we had to leave unexpectedly after the starters due to family reasons we still had a great impression of the quality of food. Will definitely come back for the mains soon, thank you Ju!!!
We've passed by this place a few times and today decided to give it a go. We got a warm welcome from the waitress and we're give a choice of a couple of tables to choose from. On the wall there is a menu with starters and mains so while we were deciding what to have we ordered our drinks that being a 1/2 carafe of rose to which I was told they only sell wine by the glass, the bottle or you have the option of taking the bottle, drinking what you want and only being charged for what you drink - alternatively you can take the plat du jour (dish of the day) which is composed of starter, main course, dessert, glass (large) of wine and a coffee for the price of 19.50€ - a no brainier - we chose this option. The starter was gnocchi with a Parmesan sauce followed by sirloin steak, fries and homemade tartare sauce. Personally I wasn't keen on the steak but I'm a fussy meat eater anyway so that was my problem not the restaurants. Dessert was chocolate mousse, fresh strawberries or another dish but I'd already chosen chocolate mousse :-) We had a lovely glass of rose wine followed by a coffee. What we also loved about the place was the ambience - the owner (it was easy to see who he was) was very friendly and it was nice to see how many people knew each other. At no point did we feel out of place. We will be going back ;-)
Had lunch with a friend recently - being a Friday the plat du jour was aoili which was delicious albeit the portions were rather on the large side. Service is great - very friendly and helpful
