La Primavera - Moline

These tacos are incredible! As someone from the DC area who travels frequently along the East Coast, I can confidently say that these are the best tacos I've ever had. I imagine they are also the best in town!

One of the more authentic places, whether you're looking for Mexican groceries or take-out food. Though their menu offering is somewhat light, all of the staple foods are there (burritos, tacos, tortas). Meat offerings are your standard fare, limited vegetarian options. However, for all that they sell, price, quality, flavor, texture, portion size, and consistency are excellent. As a trained butcher and skilled cook myself, i can proudly say that I am repeat customer for their take-out.

I was absolutely impressed by the quality of the tacos at this restaurant. I tried the chicken, steak, and chicharrón tacos and they were all delicious. The homemade tortillas were excellent, and each taco was generously filled. The salsa was also great. Additionally, the owner wakes up at 5am every morning to make fresh breads and pastries. I highly recommend trying the cheese custard filled sweet breads, a unique item that you won't find in most Mexican bakeries. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.

The Mexican food at this restaurant is very authentic. The Primavera Torta is definitely the standout dish. They offer a variety of delicious salsa options. Although the restaurant is located in the back of a small Mexican grocery store with a slightly outdated interior, do not let that deter you. The food here is fantastic!

Best torta I've ever had hands down. I would definitely recommend this place. I love their rice also.
