The extensive menu, written in Spanish, English, German and Norwegian was authentic, truly excellent and VERY reasonably priced. The 3 of us tried something different every day and were never disappointed. The proprietors were charming and the Sangria to die for!!!!!
In the mountains, near from Mogan (after leaving the highway on the way to Mogan road number GC 200 just after Los Palmitos you will find it on your right hand side) there is a lovely hidden restaurant in the middle of the nature. The food was nice, the service was friendly, and the environment was amazingly beautiful and calm. With a friend we spent our lunch here, and it was a perfect stop, we were fully recharged by energy. If you wanna escape from the terrible touristic craziness and artificial cities, you will be rescued over here.
We ate here five times in the month we were in Gran Canaria found the food, particularly the barbecued meat, to be excellent. The service was also good providing Pablo was on duty. If he wasn't the restaurant got busy the service went to pot. The Sardines were disappointing on our last visit I can only assume they came out the freezer because the flesh did not separate from the bones, but all in all the food was good good value for money.
We were here on a quiet Tuesday night only 1 other table in. Good service from a knowledgeable English speaking waiter who recommended various local dishes. We tried the selection of cheeses for starter and baby goat and a fish dish for main course. Both rather good and tasty. Nice place and worth a visit.
This wonderful restaurant was within walking distance of our villa in Los Palmitos so we tried it on our second night. They stayed open for us and gave us the most fantastic food, at half the price of the Puerto restaurants. We returned for lunch (tapas) and another dinner and were not disappointed. The restaurant is off the main road so you are not listening to breathing cars, and there is an uncovered area but we preferrred the roofed section with a view of the barranco. There was a vegetarian in our party which was no problem, and the rest of us had local pork, lamb or goat. Only have the garlic shrimps as a starter if you like garlic. Great stuff!
