Bidrage med feedbackThis is my second time here. Better quality sushi than the all you can eats. I would eat here again.
I have come here numerous times for take-out as well as to dine-in. In every instance the staff have been extremely friendly and the food has been great. Their Sashimi is always quite fresh and my GF enjoys their rolls too. I'd say their Sashimi is some of the freshest I have had in the GTA. A previous review complains about the sign for the bathroom but there is nothing wrong or unusual for a restaurant requesting the bathroom be for paying customers only. I always find Kura Sushi to be an extremely customer friendly environment.
I was in the area at a lunch time, so I decided to order a Beef Udon. While waiting I asked for a password for a local Wi-Fi and got a reply that Wi-Fi is only for staff, not for clients. This is not so customer friendly approach. The taste of Udon was with a strange smell that I haven't experienced at other Japanese restaurants. And more: there was a note that a washroom is only for clients. This says a lot about the owners of the restaurant located at a far-far-away street.
Sushi rolls were excellent! Tuna sashimi and tempura are very good. No Hamachi/yellow tail, despite the Asahi sponsored picture card on the tables showing this item. Bento box teriyaki chicken wasn't good and the rice did not have the rice vinegar added, so it was plain rice. Udon noodle was quite good. Sounds like a great place for lunch, but dinner was hit and miss. Decor is like a diner and service was friendly, but only adequate.
The service is great and the food is always fresh and never disappointing. It's a perfect place to go for a quick lunch. You can also call ahead and pick up and the food is ready in 10 minutes. My favourite is the bento box and sushi and maki combo. They both include with soup and salad. Ask for the green tea...mmmm soo good!I highly recommend this place for great service and fantastic Japanese food.
