Bidrage med feedbackOrdered fish and fries, chicken shawarma platter and fattet hummus chicken shawarma. The portions are huge. Fish and platter weren’t good at all. But the fattet hummus were very delicious.
Great Food Great Ambiance Helpful Staff Recommended Detailed Review Below Wonderful, authentic Syrian food in the heart of Mississauga. One of the best Syrian restaurants in the Greater Toronto Area.Beautifully decorated location with multiple artfully separated seating areas allowing everyone privacy.Highly recommended whether you are keen to try Syrian food or are a native connoisseur. We first found this place in 2017/18 and have been regulars here since. Over the years we have discovered more of the richness of the Syrian cuisine here (and at other places). We have tried and can recommendSafsouf Salad (Borghol (crushed wheat), tomatoes, mint, garlic, olive oil, and pomegranate molasses). 9/10 both for the taste and the presentation!Lentil Soup (Orange lentils, garlic, onion, olive oil and spices served with crispy fried pita bread and fresh lemon). 9/10Fried Beef Kibbeh (Fried beef kibbeh, tahini, pickles and lettuce) 8/10Fatteh Hummos (Boiled chickpeas, fried pita bread, garlic, tahini, garnished with pomegranate and almonds) 10/10, particularly for the very interesting mix of textures! We also liked the Roman Zaman Grill Platter and the Arayes. The only thing we tried and didn’t like much was the Knefeh (we like the Turkish version which is much crisper)Overall Verdict: RecommendedFood/ Quality 4/5Location/ Ambiance 4/5Price (Value for Money) 4/5Service 4/5Others 5/5 (Helpful Staff)
I ordered for myself and my 2 yr old son. It is our first time eating Syrian food and we loved it. We’re both sick so I wanted a homey soup and chicken and fries. Everything was very tasty. I was worried after reading the review that dine-in is better than delivery. When I opened the food and saw the quantity and quality, I knew I would be writing a good review. The chicken shawarma platter came with so much chicken. No where else have I received that much chicken, even after paying $5+ for extra meat. It was juicy and there were big slices of chicken plus small charred typical shawarma chicken. It was juicy, tender, and plentiful. Perfect score. I asked in notes for extra pickles and got lots. The pea soup was very good. Comes with lots of crackers and lemon. After filling up and having lots of leftovers, I realized I hadn’t even opened the complimentary bag of bread. It was full of warm fluffy bread, enough to feed a family of 8 actually.Maybe we got lucky on our sick day but I’m so glad I decided to try something new and get Syrian. I will be going in person soon to try some new dishes with my son.Kid-friendliness: Food can be non spicy with spice on side.
We were visiting from the USA and tried this Middle Eastern restaurant. I can’t express how amazing the experience was at this authentic and quaint restaurant. The food was wow….from the shawarma, to the fatet hummus, fried cheese, and falafel and the fresh juices. Oh and the bread was freshly made in their wood fire oven. The presentation was on point and made you feel you were in the Middle East with all the dishes, platters and tea, coffee kettles they serve you with. It was all amazing! The service was exceptional too. I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants great Mediterranean food and dessert. The kenafa was also so delicious too.
I like the ambiance of the restaurant and design of plates and cutlery. Food overall was good.Price is also exaggerated for portions.Service is super bad very slow. We had to ask for cups twice, knives twice (knives that don’t even cut), a box to go twice and happened with several waiters. Bad customer service on the side of the guy taking orders. First last visit ?
