Capers Pub Eatery - Miramichi

Stopped into Capers yesterday on the way home to Bathurst from the campground. First time in the building and was very impressed with it. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Waitress (Jade) was right over to seat us. It was after 1pm and only a few tables were occupied. My sister and I ordered the Poutine, Chili Cheese Fries and the Deep Fried Pickles. The food was delivered in a timely manner and was nice and hot. Excellent taste to each dish. Those Deep Fried Pickles were to die for! The portion size was big and I could not finish my poutine. When my plate was taken away Jade immediately asked if I would like to take the rest home. Most places I have been to, you always have to ask. for your remainder to go. Was a nice change to be asked and to have such an attentive waitress. The owner came over to our table and chatted with us. A very pleasant and charming man. Made us feel right at home. Will definitely be stopping here again.

OMG . WAS REALLY SURPRISED. First time trying Capers . I can say food was awesome . Vary friendly staff . And the owner is so funny . Felt like you come as a customer and leave as a friend . Would recommend this place to everyone . If you haven't tried Capers ,do so soon . Thanks for a vary enjoyable experience

We drove by here a few times during the day heading between Miramachi and Hardwicke for a wedding. Something about this place struck a chord with me, and we decided we MUST stop for dinner on our way back. Best decision we made! We ordered the fish and chips, the seafood chowder and the spicy battered shrimp. The fish was thick and meaty, the chowder was amazing and creamy (really hit the spot after a 18+ hour drive from Toronto) and the bun that came with it was clearly homemade (super fluffy on the inside, with a nice crispy crust). The shrimp was deliciously battered (clearly not defrosted from frozen). I'm so glad we stopped here for dinner. Friendly service with amazing food. What more can you ask for?

We absolutely loved our time at Capers last night. The food was very tasty and with the large portions, no one should ever leave here hungry. The cocktails were fantastic and very yummy. And to top it off, we had a fabulous waitress, Cheryl, who accommodated our every request and she treated this old birthday gal with a delicious piece of homemade pie! We will definitely be returning. Thanks so much.
