Chez Gigi - Mirambeau

We are here every time we have been on vacation for almost a decade and it is consistently great. The pizza is the best I ever had, they do an unusual thing with the crust, but it is amazing. Waiters are friendly, regardless of the language barrier.

We have often eaten there, the food is always good, fast friendly service. I usually have Pavé de Merlu, which is always excellent

It's local to us, so we eat there fairly often. Always good food and friendly service. I think the review saying don't go if you are English is BS complete rubbish. I don't believe this would happen , especially given that a lat=rge part...of there clientelle is English

Whilst visiting family nearby, our parents offered to babysit so we could enjoy a much needed romantic meal. We decided on Chez Gigi, following recommendations from the expat community. Upon arrival, we were shown to our table by a waitress/owner, who seated us in the...centre of the restaurant. We settled down with the menu and ordered our food. We began to notice that the other customers were being seated around the perimeter of the restaurant. We had just about managed to convince ourselves that we were being paranoid and that they were probably locals who had their favourite seats, when a young couple pulled up the chairs on the table next to us. We exchanged 'Bonjours ' and they were just about to sit down, when the waitress/owner, shouted 'Non ', rushed over to the couple, spoke to the couple rapidly in French and promptly moved them as far away as possible! I HAVE NEVER BEEN MADE TO FEEL LIKE THAT IN MY LIFE! I can only equate it to how a black person must have felt, trying to board a 'whites only ' bus pre 1960 's, in deep south USA. I thought discrimination was dead and buried....... Not it seems, at Chez Gigi in Mirambeau..

Came here for a lunchtime snack and was not disappointed by the food or service. Very basic restaurant but very popular; a good indication of quality. Tables inside or on a roadside terrace. Prices very reasonable.
