Trattoria Alla Barena Dei Fiori - MIRA

Not a great exterior but was recommended stop when in the area. Outside cafe and inside back room very basic decor and stark. Staff of a number of waitresses and not great service and not many smiles. Food average usuals with pizza, pasta, fish. A lot of people taking the mixed fried fish and seemed to enjoy. I had a pizza was nicely done.

Pizzas or fish dishes but really nice food, Decided to eat here one night to have a night off from Venice and was amazed at how cheap this was payed only 30 euros for 2 courses and drinks for 2.

Una piacevole scoperta, trovata per caso. Il menu di pesce è essenziale, ma non minimalista. Piatti tipici delle trattorie antiche. Il locale e l'atmosfera da trattoria, come suggerisce il nome, non sono una critica, ci piace. Grande qualità del pesce. Il personale è amichevole e non invadente. Non merita 4 stelle a causa del bagno sacrificato, stretto e troppo invadente nella sala da pranzo. Non avrei inserito il salone nella griglia, non è proprio locale, c'è un gambero in più.

Visited this restaurant twice in two days. Pizza first night was wonderful and service reasonable. However, second night ordered pasta and 50 minutes later was told after I complained that the chef had forgotten our order and would we like a pizza. Thinking maybe this would be for our inconvenience we ordered one. It arrived 3 minutes later (I timed it), with a surly waiter. We were not impressed with the service so after eating the pizza we got up and went to pay our bill, after all we had had a glass of wine. We were told the pizza was not free and told to pay up. We did so and politely left. Not a good experience. Wouldn't bother going again. Service is what makes a restuarant that serves good food, great! Not this one.

Went at around 8:30 pm without a reservation and they were fully booked out. But that was not a worry! We asked if we could order our pizza to go and sit out the front of the restaurant and order drinks. I highly recommend doing this if they are booked out. They can't serve you food out the front. Only drinks. However they are more than happy for you to sit at a table out the front with your take away pizza and you can order a carafe of wine for very cheap and enjoy your wine and pizza! It's much quieter than inside also! Like many other people have said. The pizza is top notch and very quick at coming out. I recommend the prosciutto pizza. It was to die for. This place is especially easy for people staying at the Palladio hotel just up the road. AVOID the prices in Venice. Buy two or three pizzas and save one for lunch the next day. You can get a whole pizza here for the cost of a slice in Venice. 10/10. Would eat again.
