South Street Gourmet - Minto

My husband and I met two friends at the cafe yesterday. It lived up to our expectations of reading all reviews. The food was fabulous, the service friendly and attentive and the decor really nice. The operating hours are limited, so make sure you pre-call and make a reservation. It was a busy place yesterday, but everything was fresh and delicious.

My husband and I discovered this jewel of a café on the way back to Hamilton on Sunday, September 11. Unfortunately, the house was sold out smoked salmon, but no matter. We had the Benny with pork and bearnaise. That was one of the best Bennys I ever had! The eggs were perfectly soft, great sauce, much pulled pig and the biscuit light and buttery. Beautiful touch with the paprika burgers and beautifully dressed green side salad. And a beautiful porcelain teapot by Earl Grey: Terrific service and value! We will definitely stop again!

Great little place, excellent food and service! Will be back. Should be here at the Gotta Essen!

Delicious food and friendly service. I heard lots of positive comments and glad to finally have a chance to try.

Just want to let you know today was our first time visiting this cafe and it was a 5 . Very good unique breakfast, lots of food. And very clean and the staff was very friendly .highly recommend!
