Taqueria El Patron - Minneapolis

Decided to stop on a trip home from the beach and so glad I did! This restaurant serves authentic Mexican dishes and was some of the best food I’ve ever had . I got the Birria tacos which did not disappoint. The corn tortillas were awesome. Definitely wish they were closer to home.

This place is a very authentic Mexican Taqueria that served exactly what you would want of from a Taqueria which is the bomb.com tacos! Prices were very affordable. You'll average about $15 per person and get great quality substance/food that is sure to tickle your taste buds and leave you feeling oh so stratified!

This place is located in a small strip shopping center and easy to miss if you didn’t know where you were going. It really didn’t look like much but that was very deceiving. There was not hostess station so we started looking around for staff to seat us. That made us nervous as to how the rest of the visit might be. Glad we stayed because it was delicious. We had enchiladas and gorditas. Absolutely delicious, as good as I have had anywhere! The chips were warm and crispy. The salsa was fresh tasting. Wait staff could be a little more attentive but that is the only negative. I will return!

I finally found my go to Mexican restaurant in Minnesota. I will recommend this place to everyone. 10/10

The food is authentic and full of flavor. The staff makes you feel like family the minute you walk in, the decor is warm and inviting, and the food is prepared promptly. My bf and I will be frequently coming here.
