Maja's Garden Bistro - MINDEMOYA

Loved this cute fun colourful cafe.. you feel like your visiting family or something! Very homey feeling, super fresh food made to order, healthy option on the island.. we loved the potato sconces and had to order another one! The veggie pizza was good too ..recommend a visit when ur on the island

We visited Maja's Garden and was greatly impressed with whole experience! First, the setting is beautiful, you order in the front of the house and then eat in the very large backyard surrounded by gardens and trees. It was incredibly peaceful and nice. The cluster of chairs, tables and umbrellas is thoughtful arranged. During the pandemic, bar tables are used so the server can keep a distance from you. There is also a stage, which I imagine is where musicians perform when they have events. The food is fresh and delicious with local (from the garden if possible) ingredients. A surprisingly large number of interesting options suitable for various dietary restrictions, focusing on salads, sandwiches and pies. Also, they have lots of home-baked goods. I only wish we had a chance to go back and try some more food out.

In the Maja’s Garden Bistro we had such an unexpected time. I love finding healthy vegan meals and I didn't think I would be able to find something so perfect on Manitoulin Island (where I went my life). We had a lentilburger with beets, avocado and sprouts, my sister had a speciality grilled cheese filled with toppings, and we shared a chocolate cake. Their ingredients come directly from their beautiful garden. I am so glad to have found this place right in Mindemoya on the way to my grandparent house. I always come back. We did it shortly after hiking a little over three hours on cup and saucer trail, and I would highly recommend doing the same. It's only 15 minutes from the way. Thanks again

Our experience in Majas was phenomenal! Excellent food, spectacular service and the ambience of the gardens was wonderful. The cat was also a real treasure! If you stop eating in Mindomoya, choose this place.
