Uppa Yard - Milwaukee

Wow! Cozy place. Very inviting. Professional, yet personable. The flow of people was consistent-packed. But, quick in out. The food was so delicious I couldn't finish it. Though, I wanted to! The portion size is enough for two people and my greed got the best of me. I had curry and jerk chicken with rice and peas. This was worth every moment in Milwaukee. Thanks ladies! You outdid, yourself.

So we ordered large Jerk Chicken and Oxtail dinner with Plaintains and man I'll tell ya'll like this; you'll know when you've had great food when the flavor of the food is so good that it brings nostalgic memories and have you reminiscing to your Lady. The staff was all love and genuinely good people. I ate my food slow to appreciate the love that went into it. I can't wait to return on our next visit. Thank you Uppa Yard for the wonderful experience and food.

We finally stopped by Uppa Yard in their new location and it was nice and spacious and a bar option. We ordered the large Jerk chicken with cabbage and beans/rice. The Jerk chicken wasn't as favorable and lacked that jerk punch. It was grilled nicely but you can tell the chicken was marinated. We also had the jerk egg rolls and they were we good. The cabbage in the roll was the best, it was seasoned very well and chopped to small pieces, very delicious. The chicken in theroll plays nicely with the cabbage. Not sure if it want there best day, but will try the again.

I dont give many places 5 stars but the oxtails and rice and beans are delicious!! Get extra gravy. Jerk Chicken is a good choice also. I wouldn't get the plantains again.

This restaurant is very popular so its a long wait sometimes. It's worth the wait. you can per order over the phone if you like. They have a bar as well the margaritas are delicious and strong. So bring your designated driver. I love going here for a taste of Jamaican food.Parking: There are a lot of others business around this restaurant so that is the reason for the difficult parking. If you go here for a bit to eat and get a parking spot in front of the restaurant consider yourself blessed.
