China Gourmet - Milwaukee

I was in the area on tour. I wanted to try something different from your food. We was at the Pabst theater so I had a little walk across the street; and it was will worth it. The beef was so tinder it melted in your mouth. I will definitely be back when I’m town again

Food is FANTASTIC! They’ve been here awhile and it shows in the building and decor. Do not let that you bypass this excellent food though!!!

I wouldn't dine in as the atmosphere isn't really inviting after COVID hit, but the food is amazing, never greasy, always fresh and a great value. Get it to go or have it delivered and create your own ambiance.

WOW WOW WOW. China Gourmet is a very inconspicuous little restaurant (it 's quite big inside) with really no frills or over the top atmosphere situated right across the street from the Pabst Theater. We were in a hurry to get something to eat before catching the comedy show across the street and we stumbled across China Gourmet. Our server (unfortunately I didn 't catch his name) was so kind when taking our order and fast fast fast with the service. I genuinely dislike when people say this is the best... or this is the worst... BUT this was absolutely the most flavorful Chinese food I have ever had. The menu choices, which there were a ton of, were nondescript and not unlike what you would find at almost any Chinese restaurant, BUT the flavor profiles were ridiculous. Something as simple as pan fried noodles and fried rice which are normally compliments to the meal could have easily been the main meal. So fresh and so delicious. I had Kung Pao Beef and the sauce was so savory, I literally took the serving spoon and finished it off like a soup. If you 're in town or going to a show at the Pabst Theater, don 't bother with all the other options that are flashy and fancy; go to China Gourmet for the delicious food and the wonderful service.

Definitely on point with the food I got the fun lo mein and it was as tasty as any. I have ever eaten. Definitely return next time I come into town.
