The staff is very well informed about vegans, ingredients and allergies. You are also pleased to recommend tea “pairings” for your meal. I had the curry bowl and it was delicious. (No photo because everything was gone before I remember!) I had the black chai with soy milk and coconut pudding for dessert.

They have a few tables outside on the patio, as well as indoor seating. It's very close to the trail so a nice place to visit before or after your walk. Pot of tea Lovely large tea cup and got a glass of ice on the side for the hot day. A pot is about 3 or their tea cups. They have an extensive tea menu to sample from, and you can buy loose leaf or sachets from the shop for home as well. Panna Cotta very nice, lightly sweet. The fruit chutney on top was a bit too tart/sour. Formosa oolong, smooth, a bit malty. Taiwanese smokey tea, hot a very interesting experience smokey, savory, and an almost sea flavor, slight reminder of miso soup Dark Thai smooth black tea with slightly malt flavor. Nothing unique but nice

Please open the tasting room. I like the small shop atmosphere . It has different tea related items and they are very reasonably priced. I drink H&S tea everyday and I love this little shop in NY

As a long-time Harney Sons tea fan, I was really looking forward to finally visiting the home store and having their fresh tea straight from the source. My mother and I were there shortly after they opened, and had the cafe room all to our selves. After ordering the tea, I was disappointed to be served with a paper cup, instead of the glassware I've seen other people post about. The staff was really nice, but I was hoping for a different experience, which didn't require a paper cup or having to ask for sugar and cream.
