Bidrage med feedbackI went for lunch and it wasn't very crowded, but it took a long time to get anyone's attention. We ordered 2 veggie burgers with soup, a beef burger with fries, and a cup of coffee. We received our first cup of coffee and then were basically ignored. We waited for at least 30 minutes with no one coming by to refill our coffee or apologize for the wait. The food was okay and the soup was good, but it wasn't very warm. The waitress didn't even make eye contact. When we went to pay, another couple was leaving because they had given up waiting for their food, and another man was at the register trying to refill his empty coffee cup. It was a disappointing experience and I probably won't be back.
Had the worst food and worst service I have ever had at a restaurant. My son was unable to eat his food because it was so bad, we complained to the waitress and she insisted it was my sons "taste buds". The staff and management then proceeded to talk badly about our family. We will never ever be going back here.
Catrina's was a lovely family restaurant. Murray's Whiskey Point Grill is in the same location but is simply a world apart in service and food quality! On Feb 8th, 2016, I was served the worst meal of my life - this is no exaggeration! I ordered coffee and a 3 egg omelette with bacon, mushrooms and cheddar cheese. The food and both cups of coffee were barely lukewarm. The food made me sick for the next 24 hours and I only ate a small portion of it!! No doubt this is due to the restaurant policy (explained to me by the manager) of breaking all the eggs in the morning and ladling out portions as needed! Or the very old mushrooms from which black spores swum in grease from the little pile of them in the very centre of the hard rubbery, very greasy thin layers of egg. Or perhaps it was the raw bacon pieces! Or the funny tasting hashbrowns!! My very mild complaint to the staff (including the manager) about the quality of the food was greeted arrogantly. No apology was offered and no adjustment made to the bill either! Simply unacceptable for a business which I believe relies largely on local customers.
I recently dined at Whiskey Point Grill for breakfast. Despite hearing mixed reviews from family members, I decided to give it a second chance. Unfortunately, I was left extremely disappointed. The waitress was efficient but lacked friendliness. As a vegetarian, there was a mistake with my order which resulted in a dish containing meat. Although it was corrected, the portion sizes for certain items in the omelettes were disappointing. Service could have been improved, such as refilling our coffee cups more than once. The waitress appeared annoyed, even though accidents happen. Additionally, many light bulbs were burnt out in the restaurant. As a resident of Mill Bay, I believe it is unfortunate that the new owners are struggling to succeed. We are in need of good, reliable restaurants in the area and I hope the owners can achieve this in the future.
Steak a bit thin so if yo want it medium rare order rare. Nice family restaurant, when you have your taste buds all juiced up for do thing anfd it less than appetizing you need to complain. I was hunger so I ate it. I will give them another try..
