What a great place! definitely worth a try. very simple, but eating is too rave. I have tried three different types of Lebanese style pizzas bark, cheese and huh! all were very delicious! there are also many Lebanese sweets in the offer and traditional products, such as nuts and seasoned. very cool. can not wait to come back!
This is one of my favourite work day lunch spots in the area. Food: Cafe on Henley have a fairly extensive menu but unlike most cafes that try to do everything these guys don't drop off in quality. If you're after something healthy they will make you a sandwich or a wrap from scratch with pretty much whatever you want. Their salads are delicious. They also do traditional dessert pastries. The star of the show for me, however, are their delicious Lebanese pizzas you cannot find better value for money $4 6). Service: The staff are always really friendly and helpful. They don't say no to special requests. They might not be the fastest in the world, but that's probably why the quality stays up. Ambience: It's not a fancy decor by any stretch of the imagination, but it's always clean and relaxed and there's plenty of room to dine in peace if you don't want to take away. Dish to look out for: The soujouk spicey sausage) pizza is simply amazing. I doubt you will find a more delicious meal for such a small price.
Have you had a big night? Are you craving comfort food with just a hint of spice? Do you want something that is just going to make you say oh yeah, that is it! Well, you need to stop at Café on Henley. This is a small family owned business that serves amazing Middle Eastern Lebanese foods and stock herbs, spices, beans, flours, cheese, tea, coffee and all things needed for a spicy dish! They are really popular in the neighbourhood. This business grew from the backstreets in Mile End and then onto Henley Beach Road. Lebanese cuisine is all about beautiful breads and accompaniments. But, my particular favourite is the Lebanese pasties and pizza. The bases are a little different to Italian styled pizza; it is a little lighter and you can taste the olive oil in it. But the toppings are what is really special; sesame seeds, cumin, lamb, garlic, spinach, oh yeah! Best thing about Lebanese pizza is that it is really cheap for the quality. The most expensive pizza here is $7 and the cheapest is $3.50. WOW! But, please do not misinterpret the price for quality. They have really top quality ingredients and the pizzas are really tasty. On last dining experience I ordered the Spinach Pastie and Manush Zaatar with a Lebanese coffee of course! Both meals were so satisfying after a big night. The spinach pastie was really flavoursome with onions and spices. The Maush Zaatar is packed with cheese, sesame seeds, cumin and other spices. Really full of flavour while being wholesome and tasty. The coffee is a must to have with this; it strong and will give you a boost for the day! If you are after a well priced meal that will fill you up, this is your destination on Henley Beach Road. Let the food speak for itself! Try it!
