L'imperiale - Milano

Nice place in Milan with very high quality/price ratio. Owner very kind, service ok, raw fish is interpreted with an eye to Asia, and wine cellar with not many titles but good quality and affordable prices.

I had already been here a few years ago and was not impressed by the lack of authenticity in its version of Chinese food. A friend brought me back and I discover the 've called themselves a fusion restaurant.... which in this specific case is actually meaning that they have now included pseudo-japanese dishes (i.e. to increase their client number). Well, if you have tasted true Japanese cuisine, this restaurant is so far from the real thing. Overall, the food tastes like many other restaurants. The raw fish is old (dry and dark in color). The positive things of this place are the well-distanced tables and the service. If you don 't care much about freshness and taste of food then you can still enjoy your dinner out with friends. I will not be back.

This is our absolute favourite restaurant and we eat here at least once a week. We love the food, the staff are cordial and we love introducing our friends to this place. The owner is extremely knowledgable and is forever creating new fusion dishes, harmoniously blending eastern and western flavours a resulting in original and exciting new dishes. There are also numerous traditional dishes hailing from different regions of China. I know my food as I am half Chinese and grew up in Hong Kong. I have never been disappointed here. Alcuni piatti sono diversi dal solito menu cinese e anche piacevoli ma alcuni piatti base sono abbastanza mediocri.
