Sadler was our 3rd Michelin star restaurant of our trip but by far the best. Having gone to Jules Verne and I Portici just days before. The staff was more knowledgeable and personable. Well balanced courses with more focus on flavor than ambiance. The sommelier was amazing with perfect parings and rare, small production wines. He even managed to pair a drink (not wine) with lemon sorbet.
Not a single one of the five courses was at all memorable. None was particularly flavorful. Even at half the price we would not go back. Service, however, was what one expects at a Michelin one star.
Words cannot explain the chef's amuse bouche…they were wonderful! Of course, it didn’t stop there! Our starters were the risotto with frog legs and the pasta with lamb and mint. Both were delicious! The breads melted in your mouth as did our main courses of sea bass baked in salt and the suckling pig were nothing short of exceptional. It didn’t stop there! Tiramisu and the petit fours
The ambiance and the food quality and flavors were excellent but service lags. We asked for warm water a couple of times but in the 3 hrs and 30minutes that we were there, it never came. Our order of coffee was forgotten too
