Malamen - Miguel Hidalgo

Located by Polanco`s Lincoln Park, in one of the most comforting parts of the city, lies this relatively unknown jewel. Very well decorated, simple and effective, Malamen is a restaurant where they will make you feel like home. You can try their delicious Mac and Cheese, or start with some appetisers. Give yourself a treat and have a "Tempus" double malt beer. This pet-friendly place is great for couples or group of friends. Don't hesitate to try their cocktails and sandwiches.

A couple of years ago I stayed at a hotel near Lincoln Park and walked out to find a place to have lunch. I was captivated by this cool, very white, restaurant. The staff was nice and the origin story of the restaurant is interesting. Im not going into it because its pretty long but you should ask :)Their cocktails a really good, you could drop by and have a drink while looking out on the Lincoln Park and people watch. Their kitchen is pumping out some very tasty treats too. Malamen is one of those well kept secrets that hides in plain site. I recommend you drop by for a drink and a snack.

We ordered a "grilled cheese" which had literally one slice of dry cheese, when we told the waiter that you couldn't call that grilled cheese (since it had literally had close to none cheese) he told us we could always order more cheese, showing they couldn't take suggestions. The menu looks great but the food is sub par. I highly recommend not going, don't be fooled by the menu.
