The building is stunning and creates a beautiful ambiance at night. Initially, we were the only ones there, but soon other groups started to show up. We ordered a bottle of red wine, which after 10-15 minutes of looking, they did not have. So the...staff recommended a bottle of red wine (2014 Casa Madero Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend) that was half the price of the original bottle we ordered. The wine was amazing a little young, but still amazing! We also ordered our food, which came out promptly and the food was great. The only problem we had was that we ordered the wrong salad, as a table near up order the ceasar salad and the staff make the ceasar salad at the table! We watched enviously as the staff brought out a large bowl, started mixing ingredients, like mustard, mayonnaise etc and we watched in amazement as these 3 servers prepared this salad for a table of four, then proceeded to serve the salad to each person. If you go here I would recommend you order the ceasar salad, just for the experience alone!
Nice setting emulating a typical house from the north of Spain (i.e. Asturias). Good location in Polanco. I go there every time that I am in Mexico City for business. Menu includes traditional Spanish dishes as well as some Mexican dishes. I normally order lamb...with Rioja. Excellent service. As Spaniard, I recommend this restaurant because is a taste of Spain.
I attend with friends every year to taste the great flavor of the Chiles en Nogada. They are just great! And specially because the venue is very nice. Located into an old house in Polanco, you will have the feeling of really being at home...and with the best service. I suggest you to try the Chile en Nogada with a glass of rose
