This is such a beautiful place it is a shame that the new owners are turning what should be a realaxing experience into a exasperating event. No server takes your order. Must be ordered on a device. Food does not come at correct time. It took our group over 2 hr.s to complete their meals, due to being served at different times. I got a margarita which was watered down. The food was over 5/10 at best. My recommendation is, if you go, enjoy the deck. Get something simple. Not a quality culinary experience. I hope they can regroup, because it is such a nice place. I will not buy food there again under the current system. Oh, to top things off that, 20% gratuity is automatically added in. Service minimal.
The customer service experience we received while dining at the boathouse was terrific. Our server Mackenzie greeted us with a warm smile and knowledge of the menu options. She ensured we were taken care of often and made sure that if we had any issues with anything, we would not hesitate to let her know.
The lake view and staff are great! The food was hit and miss, the Toast branded online ordering is problematic, it took 15 minutes of trying different browsers to finally get results. Waitress finally brought an IPAD so we could put our food and drink orders in. Food delivery from kitchen was fast and efficient once we got the orders into the toast online system. Our orders were hit and miss, probably need to try some different items next time. (yes, we probably will be coming back)
Great atmosphere because of seating on the deck with a view of Swift Creek Reservoir, and an upbeat, efficient server named Jen. That's the end of the positive comments. Five of us, including family from out of town, went to the Boatouse for Brunch. I had seen iffy reviews, and hadn't been there for some time, so I decided to take a chance. One of the meals, a simple cheeseburger with bacon and fries, arrived 10 minutes after the other meals had been served to our table. Ordered with no pink the burger was raw inside, and the bacon was almost raw. My guest handed the plate to the manager (pseudo-manager More than 40 minutes later, after everyone else in our party had finished their meal, and the plates were cleared, the manager appeared with the cheeseburger and stated Sorry it's late. Can I get anyone anything else and disappeared. I had watched numerous tables receive their food during this time. It was infuriating that the manager was so cavalier and unable to manage getting edible food to a member of my guest in an appropriate timeframe. The server did her very best. The physical atmosphere does not make up for the lackluster and infuriating experience and the lack of an appropriate solution to a very simple problem. Meh.
