Ruby Tuesday - Midland

Hubby loves the salad bar here, me not so much but I've never had a bad meal here. This visit I had the smokehouse burger with gluten free bun and it was delicious. Service was friendly and the restaurant was pretty quiet. Prices are pretty comparable to other similar establishments and portion size is good.

I was in town due to a sad family issue, and lunch with family was the pick me up we needed. Great food, prices, and exceptional service. Will stop by again when I am in town, which will be soon.

Very mediocre food. Salad on salad bar was not fresh at all. Tomato soup had odd taste to it-didn't finish for fear of food poisoning. The banging shrimp were plentiful and good, though. Poor service-brought fries instead of tots, brought shrimp after asking if we got everything (no). We were seated in a corner and apparently the waiter forgot us-we had to go find a staff member to pay our bill.

The waitress was nice and very quick. We went there because I used to love this chain when I was younger but haven't went in years. I'm sorry I went. The place was FILTHY. The floors were sticky, there was food on the salad bar plates and the silverware was questionable. We waited quite a long time for our food. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger well done with no pink. When I got it I cut into it and realized it was pink on the inside and completely burned on the outside. It was disgusting. As I was taking the picture the waitress saw me and came over to ask how everything was. I told her my hamburger was burned but pink on he inside. She immediately asked the people in back to make me another one. Then a guy came from the back with a new one. It wasn't stellar either. This is my update from when they asked me to email them. I did email them several months ago and they never responded to my email. Crappy place, crappy food, crappy customer service. That poor waitress needs a new job. Run nice girl.

The food was really, really good. The dessert was a good portion size. The only thing I didn't like is the prices for the portion sizes. The portions were enough to get you almost full but for what you pay, I want to feel bad about myself when I leave. The taste of the food made up for its small portions though. I got the shrimp scampi with a baked potato and the salad bar. The salad bar had a great selection of toppings and dressings. The shrimp was done well (not over cooked which is pretty common with shrimp). It tasted good with the scampi butter but held their own without it too.The baked potato was super tender and tasty. My husband had the seafood trio with mashed potatoes and salad bar. He raved about the flavors of the shrimp, tilapia and lobster tail and said the mashed potatoes were delicious as well. We got the strawberry shortcake dessert which was enough for both of us to share and scrumptious.
