Murray's Deli - Midland

Used to work at HEB bakery and was taking a French bread order from the lovely wife of the deli but it was an order of over 12 French bread and she needed each of them sliced which we have a policy that if it’s an order over 4 they would have to put it in for the next day and I was working alone as a closer at the time so we agreed to put the order in for the next day with all of them sliced. A couple hours later I took fresh French bread out of the oven and was about to out them out on the stand for customers to take but another customer was at the counter so I of course serviced them but when I went back to the rack of French bread it was all gone which customers aren’t allowed to touch the rack because of safety hazard reasons and the rack was still in the bakery which customers aren’t allowed to enter. I turned around and seen a man at the counter and was asking if I can cut all of the French bread in which I found out he was the owner of Murray’s deli which I had to refuse because again I’m the only one working there and I have to service all customers and on top of that do my job as a closer in which he replied with rude comments saying that I was useless and that it’s not like the French bread was gonna sell anyway and how he started complaining that he was gonna have to cut them all by himself now. I told him to have a goodnight and he walked off mumbling more things under his breathe. His wife then called me over the phone and canceled the French bread order for the next day. The encounter with I had with the husband was very rude and I figured he would understand our policies especially if he has a restaurant that I’m sure they go by certain policies themselves and for him to start calling me names is very childish and I don’t appreciate it one bit especially since I tried to service him to the best of my ability and all I got back was him being extremely rude and unprofessional. In response to the owners response this is sadly not a lie as for the order form the wife had me fill out I was given the name and number of the Deli as well as her signature and seeing that I’m being met with the same unprofessional in response this is definitely the correct establishment. Lol

You can always tell when the food is fresh. It tastes so much better. It’s always fresh here. I recommend the Murray Melt and fresh cut fries. And very clean.

Horrible. Doesn’t even deserve one star. Ordered the Fit Chick. It was inedible. Overcooked, mushy broccoli; chicken was dried out almost being to the point of jerky. And to add insult it cost a ridiculous amounts of $16.40. Would not recommend Murray’s.

I've been going here for years! Even through the ownership changed, not much has changed. The only changes I've seen are that they added pizzas to the menu on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings from 4PM- close, and they added on a patio which added the much needed extra seating. This place gets busy in the afternoons, but they are always working as quickly and efficiently as possible to get your order to you. If you ever have an issue or complaint with your order, they are always ready and willing to make it right! A nice little spot to catch a break from work or school on your lunch hour. A spectacular place to enjoy a glass of wine and the patio in the evenings. Overall wonderful!

There burgers are comparable ro a bad school lunch. Pale lettuce and tomatoes and a likely-frozen patty.
