El Pulpo Tapas Middletown

I had a couple of Tapas, they were exactly as I expected, top shelf. Nice atmosphere, class to to the Nth degree. I was impressed with vibe, the music and I'm looking forward to taking a date here, to impress. I ordered the crab cakes and an artichoke dish. The crab cakes were all crab, the lobster sauce topping was outstanding, I. Personally, want 3 times as much though, I'm a sauce guy. The artichoke sald dish was flawless, and the vegetable sauce was tasty..., I liked my plate clean. I didn't like it clean, that was for effect. Yes!, I recommend.

Super I love the place... my son take me there... the food omg super good.... I left my phone in the car I don't have pictures of the food..but I take a picture of the restaurant outside.... the paella

Went for happy hour on 6/16/2022. The bartender was very rude . The bartender told my friend not to have anybody else come for happy hr because she was overwhelmed. One of the waitresses told My sister if she didn’t like the wait then she can always go somewhere else(we knew that already). What’s the point of having an outside area if you can’t eat out there ? Over all that was my 2nd time going there I won’t be going back . If you know happy hr is all night then it should be sufficient workers ..Gave 2 stars because the food was decent could have be hot though

I don't understand the amazing reviews this place has. The food is overpriced and just okay. Vegan/veggie options are lacking, especially when the server cannot answer if something includes dairy and doesn't even offer to check with the kitchen. One of the dishes we got was basically just a bowl of marinara sauce and they ran out of bread so I guess they expected me to just drink it? The atmosphere is dated and dusty. I liked that they had a patio, but the view is unfortunately of a municipal building's parking lot. Will not be returning.

My favorite restaurant in Middletown !!! Amazing , eclectic Mediterranean dishes you cannot find anywhere else. Like grilled octopus my favorite ! Freshly muddled cocktails excellent margaritas! with fresh herbs never disappoint also a lovely wine list. Great happy hour specials fun bar and also a deck overlooking the CT river perfect for 4th of July!!!
