Bidrage med feedbackI went to this restaurant for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere seemed nice, with football on the TV and pool tables for entertainment. The menu had a good variety of dishes and drinks. The bartender was very friendly and welcoming, but the other staff were not as friendly. Unfortunately, most of the cocktails on the menu were unavailable, leaving only a few choices. The food was served cold and had to be put in the microwave before being brought back out. I was disappointed to pay £70 for microwaved food that wasn't even edible. Eating everything separately was not what I had in mind.
The drinks are always different here and the only time I eat it, I regret it. It may be the skanky pub in Burgess Hill with a really tired interior, dirty toilets and sticky tables and floors. If it rains, you can't... at the front window because of the leak in the ceiling that hasn't been fixed for many years. The drinks are too expensive and always seem to taste fun. Avoid it simply because any other pub in the city is much better than that.
We were looking for a typical, basic coffee at this pub but were pleasantly surprised by the excellent, fresh and flavorful coffee we received. The staff was friendly and brought the coffee to our table at a very reasonable price. I have dined here before and would highly recommend checking out the menu for some delicious options.
We came across this pub on our way to Brighton while searching for a place to watch a specific football game on TV. It was perfect for sports fans, with 5 big screens showing different games to choose from. We decided to grab a bite to eat and ordered a pulled pork burger and a hot mozzarella and mushroom salad, both of which were delicious and reasonably priced. The two young girls working behind the bar were friendly and accommodating. However, the interior of the pub was quite run-down with holes in the floor, ceiling, and walls, and a peculiar smell lingering in the air. It's a shame that with a little TLC, this place could be truly beautiful.
It was lovely to walk into somewhere that serves a breakfast after 11am. And what a breakfast, double everything at a very reasonable price. Piping hot and real crusty bread, only down side would be that there is never enough butter but I expect that...if I had asked then they would have supplied another packet. Staff were friendly and efficient. Prices were value for money considering the amount of food on the plate. Will definately be going there again.
